How to Properly Complete the Packet
One of the primary objectives of every mathematics course is to reinforce and strengthen a student’s ability to communicate mathematically, both in written and verbal form. Therefore, writing only the answer to the problem is not sufficient. Solutions for equations are to be written vertically, radicals are not left in the denominator, and common factors are always removed from rational expressions.
How Will the Packet be Used Next Year
During the first week of the 2010-11 school year, math teachers will review concepts and skills with students. By the end of the second week, students will take a pretest to determine what skills have been mastered. This information will then be used for evaluating students, evaluating the mathematics program, and planning lessons for the remainder of the year.
